The MP Industrial Corporation considers Innovation to be one of the main paths on the road towards Excellence and to gain Leadership in the different sectors. In fact, the R+D+i areas of activity are the key to achieving new and more competitive Products and/or Services in all the areas of business in which MP operates.

The Corporation has increased its Technological Capacity by actively participating in Technological Research, Development and Innovation Programmes and Collaborations with various Universities and Technological Agents.

In addition, in order to Optimise its Technological Resources and to gain an overall vision of innovation, MP has created various Permanent Committees that cover all the Group’s technological disciplines. This permits Information Exchange between the various R+D Centres and Engineering Companies, appropriate Knowledge Management, the monitoring of Competition and the achieving of Group’s Technological Objectives.

In practice, this technological commitment made by MP involves:
- 39 technological disciplines with more than 300 technical activities associated to these technologies.
- 271 qualified technical experts in R+D+I areas. Of these, 22% university graduates and 45% technical graduates.
- 9 own laboratories: mechanical, hydraulic, vibro-acoustic, EMC, water, electronic, metrology, materials and optical fibre.
- More than 50 advanced management and design computer programmes.
- 70,000 m2 distributed in 14 Manufacturing Centres.
- More than 5,000 m2 of Technical Engineering and Development Offices.
- More than 1,500 Records of Technical Documents and Regulations.
- More than 200 Accreditations and Certifications with Recognition and Certification Bodies and external Laboratories.
- Participation in Technological Research and Development Programs with 11 Universities and Technological Centres. Including the Engineering School of Seville, the technical college of the University of Zaragoza, the Technological Institute of Aragón the University of Extremadura and the National Technological Food and Agricultural Centre.
