 The official inauguration of the new facilities of MACPUARSA´s office in Austria, MACPUARSA Aufzughandels GmbH, took place on February 8. This office is
in charge of the central and eastern European markets.

- The ceremony was presided over by the Spanish Ambassador to Austria,
Ricardo Díez-Hochleitner, our commercial manager, Eugenio Barroso,
and the MP regional manager for central and eastern Europe, Alvaro Rein.
The ceremony was also attended by the Commerce Counsellor for
the Spanish Embassy in Austria, by several representatives of
the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (Wirtschaftskammer), and the
Industry Confederation (Industriellenvereinigung), as well as
by a large number of clients and collaborators.

- After briefly thanking those present for attending, Alvaro Rein
gave the floor to the Ambassador, who highlighted the great growth
and international acceptance of the industrial products manufactured
in Spain. He pointed out, for example, that Spain has become the
world’s third largest manufacturer in sectors such as the motor
industry, and he praised the investment efforts made by companies
like MP MACPUARSA, which makes such success possible.

- Next, Eugenio Barroso took the floor. After giving a brief summary
of the history of MP MACPUARSA, he stressed that the great international expansion that the
company has experienced in recent years is due solely to the volume
of its investments in research and development, 3% of the total
sales, which has made it possible for MP products to reach a very
high technological level while maintaining very competitive prices.
The regional technical manager gave a brief presentation of the
main products in the exhibition hall.

- Finally, after a toast to a successful future, all those present
were invited to try some Spanish foods.

- Alvaro Rein in its May issue.
