TECHNOLOGICAL CAPACITIES OF MP: ENGINEERING AND R&D

ENGINEERING and R&D AT THE SERVICE OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT constitutes the “operational” formula which is applied, day after day, by approximately 350 people in the MP Corporation with optimism and determination.

Currently, MP is facing the most recent challenge of effectively and efficiently COMBINING ALL OF ITS ENGINEERING AND R&D TECHNOLOGICAL CAPACITIES in order to tackle LARGE SCALE MULTIDISCIPLINARY PROJECTS with great Value Added, in which TECHNOLOGICAL STRATEGIC ALLIANCES with other public and private entities will frequently be a decisive factor. This will be, undoubtedly, a new DIMENSIONAL STEP FORWARD for MP.

This will be achieved by means of the following:

· 70.000 m2 distributed in 14 Manufacturing Centres (Mechanics, Electronics,
Hydraulics, Plate, Special projects, Door, car and frame assembly…)

· 5.000 m2 of Technical Engineering and R&D Offices

More than 200 Certifications and Approvals noting the following:
ISO 9001:2000, amongst others for:

· Design and manufacture of components and complete lifts; Design and manufacture of machinery and tooling.
· Design, development, manufacturing, sale and after-sales service of components and complete lifts.
· Management and execution of engineering projects
· Manufacture of steel pieces and casting, and thermal treatment as well as marine reversing-reducing gears.
· Automation of Installations; Reliability of machinery; Industrial maintenance
· Design, manufacture and maintenance of waste water purifying plants
· Design, manufacture and installation of waste water and process water treatment plants; Maintenance of water treatment plants.
· Design and installation of fire preventative equipment; Design and assembly of electrical control panels.
· Execution of electrical installations; Construction of civil works.
· Assembly of aeronautical structures.
· Installation and corrective maintenance of IT networks.

UNE-EN-9100 for:
· Management and execution of engineering projects.
· Assembly of aeronautical structures.

European Directive regarding lifts 95/16/EC, modules E and H for the final testing of safety components for lifts with EC type examination, and for the design, validation, assembly, installation and final inspection of lifts.
Certifications and approvals at a national, European and global level and specifically for countries such as Russia, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, England, France and Belgium.
