2RD POWER UNIT

Our intention in this section is to highlight the important difference between the design and manufacture of a component as part of a complete lift, fully integrated and usually inseparable from the lift, and that of a separately supplied component, a multifaceted item characterised by its wide spectrum of applications.
In this issue we visit MP’s hydraulic plant in Seville, a modern facility for the manufacture, assembly and testing of hydraulic units produced by
MP.
We’ll take a look at the 2RD power unit, which is handled as a component and features major new approaches to comfort, ease of operation and low maintenance.
It was conceived as a complement to the unit used in
MP’s complete lift, Olift, to achieve a more specialised type of fit.

The 2RD hydraulic unit’s main features:
- minimum maintenance
- easy adjustment
- low noise
- power range: 4-40 HP
- flow rate: 35-300 l/min

FRECUENCY CHANGERS in Argentina

MP frequency changers are used by several companies in Argentina, even without a MP controller. Some companies manufacture or develop their own controller, but their choice of frequency changer is the 3VF-MAC.
They say it is unbeatable for its versatility, features, performance and optimum cost. This is something our company can be proud of and motivates us to encourage our great R&D team in Seville.

MICROBASIC meets safety requirements for electronic components

Annex IV of Directive 95/16/EC of 29 June 1995 on lifts gives a list of safety components. Of these, the only electric devices included are those in the form of safety switches containing electronic components. The MICROBASIC controller made by MP is not an electronic safety component according to the above definition. Nevertheless, since it is used for taking readings from the electric safety chain, it was designed to comply with the testing requirements for electronic safety components, as provided by item 14.1.2.1.3 of EN 81. In this respect, the MICROBASIC controller meets the following test standards:

-Vibrations (required only for transmission elements)
EN 60068-2-6, Environmental Testing.
Part 2: Tests.
Test Fc: Vibration (sine wave).
