Having been awarded the contract for all lifts and escalators on Seville Metro’s Line 1, MP Lifts is currently in the process of installing these in the first stations.
Line 1, which operates from Mairena del Aljarafe to Montequinto is almost 19 km long. Approximately half is underground and the rest is at street level. .
The line serves 23 stations, 9 of which are at street level, 3 are half-buried and 11 are underground. It will be equipped with 38 MP 1310 G “S” (1000 kg MRL Gearless) lifts, which will have panoramic cars and glass doors. MP will also provide 50 MP Sierra Pirineo escalators which are for public use and are capable of transporting 11,700 people per hour. They have an incline of 30º so that they can overcome differences in levels of up to 10 metres and will provide services to more than 40 million passengers per year.

MP Lifts is consolidating its position within the lift sector by integrating and optimising the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of its units in public service projects involving greater volumes of traffic and more wear and tear.
