Last November, our PRODUCT department carried out large-scale planning to relocate the central warehouse from the El Refugio Industrial Estate in Seville to the new premises in the Calonge Industrial Estate (35,000 m2) along with the other resources of the area.

This new warehouse occupies an area of some 1,000 m2 and logistically is well located for being linked to the main routes into Seville and is extremely well equipped. It meets the sales demands of the line of business of PROMMAN and acts as an intermediary warehouse for storing up to 40% of goods coming from the supplier before reaching the remote warehouses corresponding to the main IPA (Auxiliary Products Integration) line of business. The remaining 60% go directly from the supplier to the remote warehouse.

We believe that this is our activity’s driving force and should therefore be equipped with the necessary means and procedures for guaranteeing its smooth, problem-free functioning which, in turn, provides the CLIENT with a quick and high quality service.

Updating databases, positions, minimum/maximum stock together with thorough and strict store management has enabled the warehouse to reach a high level of performance; this has been confirmed by the end-of-year external audits and inventories which revealed very positive results for all warehouses (central and remote). The auditing companies congratulated us on our success in this area.

Several weeks were spent working full-time on the transfer, inventories and auditing. During this time no deliveries or management services were carried out so that the process was successful and the cost estimate was 30% lower. This could not have been possible without the extra efforts made by all of the members of the PRODUCT team.
