Since MP and the industrial activities of integrated EdV S.L, Ferroviaria, Aeronáutica y Automoción were integrated in March 2006, MP has been strengthening its position and importance within the rail sector. It has also been furthering its support in the aeronautical sector and presence within the north-eastern region of Spain for other industrial activity.

During that period, the MP’s Productivity department in Catalonia has continued to grow and is currently made up of 18 people who participate in rail projects for both within Spain and abroad (e.g. Algeria and Turkey). Furthermore, together with other areas of MP Productivity in Seville, they are providing the design and supply of equipment such as electrical cabinets, drivers control panel, etc. as well as collaborating with the aeronautics tools design office.

Begins the consolidation and relevant presence in the railway sector

Such collaborations enable greater flexibility and offer a better service to our clients with the quality and delivery time guarantees. The principal clients are CAF and ALSTOM as well as Ferrocarriles Autónomos de Cataluña (FGC) and the Barcelona METRO.

In our second year of activity, we are trying to participate in more technically-complex projects that will position MP at the forefront, amongst leading competitors, both in terms of the number of contracts as well as technological capacity.

It is worth highlighting that the rail sector is growing. Therefore, both the public administrations and private operators are making huge investments in trains and rail infrastructure which in turn means the sector has a prosperous future in terms of business and its sustainability.
