MP Systems’ commitment to developing innovative solutions based on new technologies includes the strengthening of its presence on the intelligence voice systems market. This type of system implies a decisive step in the concept of new human-machine interfaces and permits a more intuitive and natural interaction with computer devices and systems.

Along these lines, the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Science and Business has awarded the public tender to MP Systems for the development of a voice synthesiser for Guadalinex. Guadalinex is the distribution of the Linux operating system promoted by the Junta de Andalucía.

Although Guadalinex includes a voice synthesiser which can speak in Spanish, the tone and accent of this electronic voice are not ideal for continuous use.

In order to improve this synthesiser and make it more natural and practical, MP Systems has begun work to develop and integrate two new voices (male and female) which can be incorporated into future versions of Guadalinex.

UOne of the main criteria for choosing the new voices to be incorporated has been the adaptation of the system for use by disabled persons. The intelligent voice systems offer the possibility for disabled persons and citizens in general to access information and communications technologies.

Other fields of application for these technologies include the provision of information services to citizens, interactive navigation tools and the initial levels of the help and advice centres. On a national level, MP Systems is contributing integral solutions for these scenarios to the market, with a special commitment to Public Administration bodies and the geographical areas of Andalusia and Aragon.
