MP Industrial Corporation, wishing to encourage behaviour that is in line with Social Responsibility of Business, has promoted dialogue between company leaders and Andalusia is amongst their present or future priority areas of action. Therefore, the Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation is receiving those companies interested in displaying their dialogue with the Public Institutions, the Andalusian world of business, the Media, etc.

With this initiative, we are aware of what those Companies we have asked to join us are or will be doing in Andalusia and for Andalusia´s interests. It is also an opportunity to meet those people whose political and business decisions have influenced the present and future of Andalusia. By promoting knowledge and dialogue between companies, we are implementing our own vision of Social Responsibility of Business.

The Business Seminar was opened on 7 November in the foundation’s headquarters entitled “The Andalusian Business Reality” by the President of the Andalusian Confederation of Business people (CEA), Santiago Herrero. The event was presented by Francisco Vallejo, the Regional Minister of Innovation, Science and Business.

Social Responsibility of Business was the focus on 21 November and was presented by Felipe Oriol, the President of the Empresa y Sociedad Foundation, Jaime Castellanos, the President of Grupo Recoletos, also took part with a speech entitled “Social Action, a great opportunity for the business sector”.

On 29 November, the main subject was the Global and Spanish Economy over the next 10 Years. The Managing Director of Banco Sabadell, Juan María Nin, presented on “The Spanish Financial System”. This day was presided by the Regional Minister of Economy and Treasury of the Junta de Andalucía, José Antonio Griñán Martínez.

On 20 December, the Commissioner of the Barcelona Metropolitan City Council for Infrastructure and Urban Planning and the Director of the Mendrisio-Lugano Architecture Academy (University of the Italian Switzerland), Josep A. Acebillo, participated in the Architecture, Engineering and Technology day with a speech entitled “Towards a neotertiary city”. This event was presented by Manuel A. González Fustegueras, Director of the Planning Office of Seville.
