The event was sponsored by Teltronic, in conjunction with NeoSky, ScatiLabs, the Jebsen&Jessen Group, Iturri and MP Systems. The aim of the conference was to provide a global view of the technology and particular attention was paid to the following aspects: TETRA solutions for transport and public services; the economic, political and regulatory aspects of the private communications market; public safety and emergency management solutions; and state-of-the-art technology.
MP Systems presented its project for the development of mobile communications solutions based on TETRA technology at the event
Speeches were given by the technical and political heads of Teltronic’s main projects throughout Spain, Latin America and Asia. They covered all areas in which TETRA technology may be applied and the solutions it provides.
Some of the success stories mentioned during the Conference were as follows: public passenger transport in Barcelona for TMB (Barcelona Public Transport Company); communications management in the port of Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia); REPSOL-YPF’s network of oil plants in Argentina and emergency management for the Venezuelan Civil Protection Agency and the Local Police in Zaragoza.

In all cases the advantages of and public sector interest in the technology was clear, as was the growth of support among the private sector for solutions and developments specifically based on TETRA technology.
Within the framework of collaboration between both companies, MP Systems presented their project for the development of mobile communications solutions based on TETRA technology at the conference. This technology will allow access to remote databases from the handset for the automation of processes, integration with telecontrol platforms and the development of geographical information systems. Such solutions are very much welcomed within the sector as something different and as an added value to traditional TETRA solutions.
