The Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos (Official Architects Association) of Seville, in collaboration with FIDAS (Fundación para la Investigación y Difusión de la Arquitectura – Foundation for Architectural Research and Diffusion) has recently been working on an ongoing training plan involving the annual organization of a series of specialized courses on different technical subjects related to construction and urban planning. These courses are aimed at active freelance professionals (mostly architects).

As part of this initiative, a course entitled “E-1 Course on common installations in residential buildings” was organized within the Construction and New Technologies division of the FIDAS-COAS Training Plan 2007. MP was invited to take part thanks to the company’s extensive experience with this type of installations.

MP was invited by FIDAS to participate in the architects’ training course on installations in residential buildings.

MP’s presentation, conducted by Beltrán García-Espejo, Fernando Becerra and Sebastián Fierro, focused on making students aware of the role played by lift and elevation equipment manufacturers and installers in new or rehabilitated residential buildings projected or executed in Andalusia and their involvement in the professional activity of designers and construction managers.

The presentation underlined the important role played by installation companies within the elevation sector with regard to technical assistance during the design and execution of installations.

The session was held on 18th September at the headquarters of the FIDAS Foundation in the Finnish Pavilion, Isla de la Cartuja.
