Start of the Fifth Edition of the Subject “Engineering within the Institutional Framework”

On 18 October, our President, Mr Gonzalo de Madariaga, presented the subject “Engineering within the Institutional Framework” for the fifth consecutive year. As in previous years, he was accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Technology Transfer, Mr Luis Onieva. Once again the students have shown a huge amount of interest in the course and all the available places have been filled.

The programme for this academic year is developed within the framework of those activities that will be carried out by the MP Corporation Professorship in the present academic year. Students in the University of Seville will also be offered a post-graduate course entitled INTEGRATED RETAIL MANAGEMENT WITH ERP SYSTEMS (MIC2000 ERP+) in March 2008. This course will provide an introduction to Integrated Management for a distribution and commercial company using ERP Systems and analysis using the IT tool MIC2000 ERP+.

Finally, it is also to be noted that the MP Corporation Professorship is presenting a project for International Cooperation in collaboration with the University Ciego de Avila in Cuba. The objective is to develop a teaching model such as that used in the University of Seville in the aforementioned University, to help participative planning and the development of communities within the area.
