Courses for the 2006-2007 academic year in the Escuela de Formación Aplicada (Applied Training School), which is located in the Calonge Industrial Estate, began a few months ago.

During this period, the students have visited various companies both belonging to the MP Group and external ones. These visits have allowed students to gain a deeper and more realistic understanding of the knowledge that they are acquiring and have provided them with the opportunity to apply for future positions within the companies. Amongst those companies visited there were MP Mechanical Components, EADS-CASA and Meupe S.L.

The Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation supports Training for Employment, which is one of its greatest goals. We work to provide young unemployed persons with the skills to perform a certain job and give them the opportunity to put these skills into practice with an employment contract in companies.

For this reason this year, as with previous years, we hope to continue to achieve our objectives.

In order to perform this Social Project, companies within the sector who were interested in working with the VM-MP Foundation were contacted. These companies are looking for quality in the professional training that our students receive. The collaboration of MP Mechanical Components must be highlighted. They gave the majority of our students the opportunity to complete paid work placements in their company, as part of the education-learning process, with the option of employment within the company once the aforementioned placement had been successfully completed.

More than twenty students have already gained employment after completing 75% of the training and the MP Industrial Corporation is the main company offering positions.
