The closing of the 2006/2007 academic year and the opening of the Summer Technology School have been the main events in the summer period for FORMAN (Consortium Centre for Training in Communications and Information Technologies), which is managed by a joint venture between the Valentín de Madariaga-MP and Novasoft Foundations.
Closing of the 2006-2007 academic course
The closure of the 2006/2007 course was celebrated on 13 June with a ceremony to award diplomas to students who had completed their training and company placements. Juan Carlos Lomeña, President of the Consortium and the provincial Employment Delegate, was responsible for closing the course and presenting the diplomas, along with Alejandro Marfil, the project technical director; Isabel Almendro, Head of the Training for Employment Service; and Mr Joaquín Morales, the director of the Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation. The event was closed with a group photograph in which the students, management team and Employment Delegate posed at the doors of the centre.
At the end of the completed course, a total of 215 students had been trained, of which 48 were women. Of the 215 students, 123 took the official certification exams for manufacturers such as Sun Microsystems or Microsoft. This academic course included 15 training programmes within the Information Technology and the Environment sectors, which are the two main sectors of influence within the centre. The percentage of students from the previous course who had gained employment reached 84% in September, despite having two courses to complete for the company placement.

PREPARATION OF THE NEW 2007/2008 ACADEMIC COURSE
 Preparations for the 2007/2008 academic course were begun during this period. This will also include 15 training programmes.
This year, there is an initiative to organise Open Days in order to attract future students. Visits from IES and students from the University of Malaga are therefore being organised to showcase the facilities of the centre.
As with previous years, there will also be the III inFORMANdo Technological Conference, with five sessions scheduled:
