The Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation is member of the Board for the Conocimiento y Cultura Foundation (Knowledge and Culture Foundation), which is part of the Pablo de Olavide University.

The meeting of the Conocimiento y Cultura Foundation Board took place on 10 October. This meeting was attended by the Rector, who is also the President of the Foundation, and its Executive Vice-President, Manuel Alejandro Cardenete, as well as almost all of its members.

For the purpose of reflecting on the Foundation and its future, Carmel Calleja, the Vice-President of the Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation, displayed the Foundation’s commitment not only to strengthening relationships between Universities and Companies, in terms of the so necessary dependence on academics for technical assistance, but also the greater attention that companies must pay to the professional integration of graduates from such a prestigious and avant-garde institution such as the Pablo de Olavide University.

En la reunión, Carmen Calleja expuso el compromiso de la Fundación Valentín de Madariaga-MP con los egresados de la Universidad Pablo de Olavide.

In this respect, she stated that the Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation considered it an honour to have its name associated to the Award for the best academic achievement in the University.

In 2006 the Award for Academic Excellence was presented to Ms María del Carmen Caro Samada, a Humanities Graduate.
