On 7th January, the opening ceremony was held for an emblematic project for MP in Almeria: The El Ejido Concert Hall and Theatre. MP installed four lifts without machine rooms, with a capacity of 1000 kg and a speed of 1 m/s, with 11, 6 and 5 stops (MP PASSENGER. MP1310V “S”) and a 3000 kg goods lift with 4 stops (MP STRONGO. 3000K 02H) in order to be able to access the theatre stage carrying different materials. This lift can be used to transport all types of musical instruments including grand pianos, cars and on the day of the opening ceremony, even a horse.

The El Ejido Concert Hall and Theatre has already become an emblematic venue in the cultural panorama of the province of Almeria. This year’s programme includes per formances by famous artists such as Les Comendiants, Paco de Lucía, the St. Petersburg Opera Company, and Bisbal, to name but a few.

For example, it installed two 20-metre long MP STEP moving walks with a 12º inclination in the new shopping centre opened by Carrefour in El Ejido, an event which, moreover, is MP’s first project with this major company in the food sector.
