In recent years, the Construction Area
has worked on construction projects to
build sporting facilities. The number of
projects for the construction of sporting
complexes carried out by this business area
has grown considerably since our first projects
for the renovation of swimming pools began.
This experience has made it possible for us
to develop a full range of know-how in this
area, an essential requirement for renovating,
modernising and constructing the sporting
centres successfully.
The complexes developed by this business
area include the following: the Wellness Centre
sporting facility in Huelva, the municipal indoor
swimming pools in Valverde del Camino in
Huelva, Las Gabias in Granada, Morón de la
Frontera in Seville and Cuevas del Almanzora
in Almeria.

In 2008, it is anticipated that the area
will complete two new facilities sponsored
by Seville City Council’s Municipal Sports
Institute. In the construction of these centres,
located in the neighbourhoods of Bellavista
and San Jerónimo, the Construction Area has
employed new technology for the construction
of swimming pools using stainless steel
panels. These systems, which have already
used in the facilities which hosted the world
swimming championships in Barcelona,
have been extremely successful in terms of
functionality and innovation.
Moreover, this type of construction work
requires a very complex type of engineering
which must be perfectly coordinated with the
construction of the buildings. This integration
of engineering and construction work is an
essential element in the execution of projects to
construct modern sporting complexes, hotels,
hospitals, and other industrial construction
work which demands agility and experience in
integrating services and facilities.
