Since 1 September the new city libra­ry in Genk (Belgium) opened his do­ors, the building presents four floors which are served by two MP lifts.

One is situated in the offices part and will be used by the personnel of the library, this is a 13 person’s hydraulic good/passenger lift (MP1305H).

The other lift is situated in the public part of the building and will be used by the visitors of the library.

The lift has a panoramic Mu­rano car and is installed in a steel construc­tion covered with glass. This is a 13 person’s machine room less lift with gearless solution (MP1310G-S).

Due to the panoramic shaft and car there is a nice view onto the different floors of the buil­ding, this is also due to the fact that these floors are created like large balconies. Also there is a nice view on the technical installa­tion of the MP lift.

These installations are installed by Renu-liften N.V. which is member of the MP Group.
