After the restructuring of the Systems Engineering department, our decision to revive our relationship with John Deere Ibérica has been rewarded by the spectacular increase in sales in the agricultural machinery sector.
After many years of reliable and satisfactory collaboration, MP aims to stregthen the links with John Deere Ibérica still further
The star project is still the robotic cell for assembling the Sprayer gear boxes which is about to be delivered and set up at the client’s site. However, the Systems Engineering department is carrying out a wide range of tasks to adapt the existing production lines to the existing high production demand, as well as participating in new and exciting forward-looking projects.

Examples of the improvement work we are undertaking are the three-axis handling arms included in the Sprayer cell, the optimising of the Knife Drive line’s functionality and safety improvements for the binocular Row Unit. Additionally, the increased rate of production of key John Deere Ibérica products has meant that we are duplicating toolings and complete assembly line stations, such as the new binocular Row Unit RW2, which is now being completed.

The collaboration between our two companies is not limited to the on-going projects. Linked to the expected success of the Sprayer robotic cell we have made a proposal to manufacture new smaller Sprayers. When this project receives John Deere’s approval for the investment, it will consist of two phases in which we will definitely participate:
-
Manufacture of a conventional cell with five assembly stations, having hydraulic presses and automatic part loaders to satisfy the requirements of a first stage of assembly of prototypes and the initial runs of the new small Sprayer reducers.
-
Integration of the assembly stations for the small Sprayer into the original Sprayer robotic cell, and also making the existing stations more flexible so that they can be used to manufacture both products despite differences in measurements.
After many years of reliable and satisfactory collaboration, MP aims to stregthen the links with John Deere Ibérica still further, especially given the good prospects for work availability and collaboration in the next few years.
Our enviable position in this area encourages us to be optimistic, based on the excellent short-term future of the sector, which is even more remarkable in contrast to the somewhat delicate global economic situation.
