As in other recent editions of MP Informa, we would like to take this opportunity to mention a further important achievement of our Corporation in the Rail and Train sector.
On this occasion, MP has been given the task of designing and manufacturing a line of welding toolings. A total of 9 toolings have been supplied, which will be used to shape parts of the sides and chassis of the bodies of a metropolitan train and a locomotive.
our division already has great experience in designing and manufacturing aeronautical toolings
This new line of products will be very important for the company, since a significant increase in train manufacturing is expected in the next few months. Our customers are entering a period when the construction of new toolings will be essential to them, and in these circumstances, MP can play an important role.

Our future in this field looks promising, since, in addition to our extensive previous experience in the tooling sector, we can add the experience gained in completing this new order.
We are in a strong position for two reasons. The first is that our division already has great experience in designing and manufacturing aeronautical toolings, which, although a different sector, is one which is of undeniable interest to the train sector. The second reason is that the Train and Rail Engineering Department has completed several projects to design and manufacture toolings for the train sector.
These two strands of our experience were combined in our successful completion of the order: for the first time, a single project was jointly undertaken by engineers and designers from MP’s branches in Barcelona and Seville.
The result has been very positive. It was a complex task to co-ordinate the design and manufacture between the two centres, but any problems which arose have now been successfully solved. .
The challenge is now to consolidate our new position; to fully utilise our design capacity and, using our industrial potential, offer a fast and high quality service to manufacturers of train rolling stock.
