The Andalusian Council on Labour Relations(CARL), an organisation belonging to the Andalusia Government’s Department of Employment,  has extended its relationship with MP SISTEMAS, entrusting the complete support of its IT Systems and the renovation of the organisation’s Web Portal to MP. The CARL is a tripartite joint entity made up of the most significant labour and business organisations – the Confederation of Businessmen of Andalusia, General Workers’ Union of Andalusia and Workers’ Commissions of Andalusia.

The CARL’s aim is to be a flexible and practical institution which provides a meeting point in the complex world of industrial relations. This should be useful both to businessmen and workers, as well as to students and professionals in the area industrial relations.

Complete support for the IT Systems.

MP Sistemas will provide specialised personnel to administer the CARL’s IT Systems. We will also be responsible for the development of these systems and operating in a way which ensures the maximum performance. The main objective of this support is to improve management efficiency in the areas which come within the Council's remit.

The work contracted out to MP Sistemas falls into three categories:

• Maintenance of the IT Systems
• Development of new IT Systems
• Support for CARL personnel.

In providing the services, we will use methodologies such as ITIL, Métrica V3, fast software development methods, etc. The aim is to optimise the quality of the service provided, and establish the foundations for an overall improvement in the CARL’s operational processes.

Remodelling the Corporate Portal.

The purpose of remodelling the corporate Web portal is to give the Council a system which will both provide information and encourage participation. The portal will publicise the activities of the CARL at a local, national and international level. The technological architecture which MP Sistemas has used in the design and construction of the System has resulted in a Portal which is flexible, powerful and accessible. Both Government of Andalusia and MP Sistemas place great importance on the use of Open Source Software, so all the Portal's components are based on Open Source platforms, such as LifeRay, OpenCMS and Tomcat.
