MP Sistemas implements an attendance control system based on fingerprint recognition for the town hall’s employees in San Juan de Aznalfarache. This provides real time data on people entering, leaving, absences and holidays etc, which are managed by a specific software system located in the Town Hall’s own Data Processing Centre.
Control devices have been installed in the municipal cleaning company, the municipal warehouse, the sports centre, the cultural centre, civic centre, social services, youth services and the town hall itself. For this, communications based on the local area network, ADSL or even GSM modules (the latter where there was no technological connection with the town hall), have been used for real time connection to the main server.

The equipment is hard wearing and completely independent. An Ethernet port comes as standard, there are GSM modules for remote connections where there are no fixed connections, and there is no requirement to be connected to a PC in order to operate.

At present, the town hall has a database of more than 400 users and more than 1,200 records per day, which will now be managed automatically. The success of the project is based on the ability to manage and process the information in real time, its ease of use, and the savings on purchasing and maintaining cards for the readers. Fingerprints, which are personal and not transferable, are used for verifying identity in the system, and this measure is quite acceptable to the end users themselves.
