The Valentín De Madariaga-MP Foundation in the Seville AWC's magazine.

The most recent number of the magazine published by the AWC (American Womens Club of Seville) included an article by Carmen Calleja de Pablo, the Vice-president of the Foundation, on the history of the US Pavilion in the 1929 Ibero-American Expo. This building now houses the headquarters of the Valentín de Madariaga – MP Foundation.

The article explains how the decision that the US would have a Pavilion in the Expo was made. It also introduces us to the building’s architect, William Templeton Johnson, who designed not only the Pavilion we see today, but also two other temporary buildings for the exhibition.

It also emphasises the strong and on-going links that the community of US citizens resident in Seville has with the building, and predicts that the Foundation will continue to make appropriate efforts to ensure that this link is kept alive.
