THE MANAGEMENT OF FORMAN COMES TO AN END.
During last semester, the Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation reached the end of its current managerial contract on the FORMAN project – the Consortium Centre of Training in Communications and Information Technology – which has been a Joint Venture with the Fundación Novasoft.
During the 2007-2008 academic year, 15 courses were given on subjects falling under the centre’s remit (ITC and the environment):
- Developing Applications with J2EE (2 courses)
- Master in Technology in Quality Management in the Urban Development Sector
- Master in Technology in Total Quality Management (2 courses)
- Master in Technology in Renewable Energy
- SAP Developer
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- Expert in Development using .NET Technology (MCTS)
- Expert in Multimedia Design and Technologies
- Master in Mobility Technologies, Applications and Services
- CCNA - Cisco
- Expert in IT Security Auditing and Consultancy
- Website Design and Development
- Expert in LAMP Technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP)
We should point that 100% of the students who attended the 2006-2007 course are now employed.
In the last semester, the students completed the courses and practical internships in companies. As of the 16th of June 2008, 77% of the students had found employment. (We must take into account the fact that the deadline for fulfilling our commitment to find employment for all the students had not yet been reached).

PROVISIONAL AWARD OF THE NEXT FORMAN MANAGEMENT CONTRACT TO THE FUNDACIÓN VALENTÍN DE MADARIAGA-MP
The contract for the indirect management of Forman by the Joint Venture consortium of the Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation and the Fundación Novasoft, having come to an end in June, the two foundations have jointly prepared a proposal to continue managing this training centre. The project presented to the official call for tenders, published in mid-July, was innovative both in terms of the courses proposed and in the various activities such as technological conferences and seminars, grants for overseas study, Conventions of Consortia, etc which it outlined
In September, the Malaga Employment Delegation formally announced that the management of FORMAN was Provisionally Awarded to the Joint Venture made up of Fundación VM-MP-Fundación Novasoft.
In September, the Malaga Employment Delegation formally announced that the management of FORMAN was Provisionally Awarded to the Joint Venture made up by Valentín de Madariaga-MP-Foundation and Novasoft Foundation. This management contract will cover the next three years, with the possibility of renewing for three additional years. We are awaiting confirmation of this award, in order to start up the new project, which will involve five people from the Fundación VM-MP working in the centre.
