The Valentín de Madariaga-MP Foundation’s Special Employment Centre has been providing Workforce access for the disabled for the last four years. This venture is increasingly successful, in terms both of quality and quantity, both through the branch offices and the headquarters in Seville. At the end of July 2008, we had 230 employees, and we expect to end the year with 250 workers in total, in the five SIES branch offices: Seville, Malaga, Cadiz, Huelva and Saragossa.

We should draw special attention to the excellent work of the Saragossa office, which has just signed its first contract, with the Norbert Dentressangle Company (which has recently taken over Christian Salvesen). It is expected that this agreement will lead to an ongoing partnership. Negotiations with major companies in the area such as Marcotrans, Alcampo, Univerti and Leroy Merlin are also at an advanced stage.

SIES not only works with the MP Corporation's companies, but also the following companies: El Corte Inglés, to which SIES provides employees who package goods for delivery and collect shopping carts in four stores in Seville and Malaga; Lidl, with which our partnership has been extended progressively and includes the provision of multiple services, including maintenance, cleaning and leafleting in Seville, Cadiz, Malaga and Huelva; Syrsa, which has been using the services provided by SIES from the start; MAS Supermarkets, which is very satisfied with our cleaning services, as shown by a framework partnership agreement resulting in our being awarded the contract for the same services in their new supermarkets in Seville and Malaga.

SIES aims to continue to grow and improve, consolidating its position in society as an important organisation in its sector while extending its portfolio of services to provide new opportunities of access to the workforce to less favoured groups. Through improved management of the quality system, we aim to continuously improve the service offered to our customers, as this is the best way to ensure their confidence in our work and their partnerships in achieving our objective, of providing more and better workforce access.
