By stressing the importance of safety at work with the aim of minimizing or even eradicating the risks related to the lift fitter job, MP took a step forward last December. We feel responsible for providing adequate training for the use of PPE by our outsourced workers; for this reason, we updated the training given to KMA, our main outsourced company, whose workers are from China.

Our Health and Safety Department (DUE) was responsible for the training. Taking into account the nationality of all the workers present, the sessions were given in Spanish and translated into English and Chinese in order to be fully understood by all present.

The venue for the training, the Caja Mágica building, was kindly offered by FCC, though only 5 of those 17 present were themselves FCC workers. For logistical reasons, it was convenient to hold the event in Madrid, since technicians from Barcelona, Vitoria, Coruña and Malaga were taking part. The FCC responsible for Safety took the opportunity to give a speech, aiming to raise awareness of risks in the workplace. He gained the attention of all the presents.

The experience has been enriching and educational and has allowed us to take a step towards making our workplaces as safe as is possible.
