The increasingly demanding requirements of the new environmental regulations are generating a parallel increasing demand for technological solutions aimed at minimizing the environmental impact caused by contaminants, i.e. high contaminant liquid waste and, especially, biomethanisation process and landfill leachates.

MP Engineering and Environmental Services Area, technological leader in Environmental Engineering, is constantly interested in innovative strategies and in developing new treatment systems, and can guarantee solutions for the problems raised by high contaminant liquid waste. The complementary BIODESTIL and MPCR technologies are examples of these solutions. Their application will depend on criteria related to the optimization of capital and operating costs.
The BIODESTIL evaporation technology, highly experienced and appreciated within the national and international market, has a complementary alternative solution: the MPCR technology.

The MPCR technology, based on reverse osmosis, is applied to cases where there is a low quantity of biogas or any other external energy source available, and is capable of reducing the heat costs required by the BIODESTIL evaporation process. An additional factor determining the use of the MPCR technology is the discharge volume to be treated. For volumes exceeding 60 m3/day, we consider MPCR technology to be the most efficient treatment, taking for granted the correct functioning of the inverter.
The MPCR technology has a wider number of advantages than conventional reverse osmosis. It is worth highlighting:
- Neither pre-treatment or refining bioreactor are required.
- Lesser fouling and easier cleaning; reduced rejection volume which is created at a higher concentration level.
- Technological innovations such as the new configuration and radial flows in wide pits. Materials able to bear a maximum of 150 bar pressures as well as turbulent flow. This flow, different to the laminar one used by conventional reverse osmosis, guarantees the above mentioned advantages.
MPCR and BIODESTIL represent the latest generation of global solutions for high contaminant liquid waste treatment and a strengthening of MP Engineering and Environmental Services Area as the leading company in this sector.
