MP Engineering and Environmental Services Area has won the competition announced by Aguas del Huesna last June, for the supply of flocculants  at the DWTP of Villanueva del Río y Minas "Las chimeneas".

Aguas del Huesna is the Public Enterprise that manages the public water service supplying the municipalities belonging to the Aguas del Huesna Consortium: Alcolea, Brenes, Cantillana, Carmona, El Coronil, El Cuervo, Lebrija, Los Molares, El Pedroso, El Real de la Jara, Tocina, El Viso del Alcor, Villanueva del Río y Minas, Cañada Rosal, Utrera, Las Cabezas de San Juan, Los Palacios and Villafranca. Aguas del Huesna supplies drinking water to the municipalities. It has a main conduction line over 220km long, along which the water collected in the Huesna dam and treated at the DWTP flows through to distant municipalities, i.e. Lebrija and El Cuervo.

One of the advantages offered by MP Engineering and Environmental Services Area, appreciated in this competition, is the fact that MP Chemical Product Line is backed by a qualified technical staff, experts in the marketing of additives. This staff will carry out a number of water treatability tests at the DWTP to optimize the installations’ efficiency and to determine the suitable QP dose for the raw water collected at the installations of Aguas del Huesna.

To achieve the best water quality, sampling and jar-tests are carried out.  By studying the results the optimum dosages will be then extrapolated. The sludge produced during the drinking water treatment will also be treated: during the sludge drying process, the installations’ centrifuges will use our products. The dose decided upon in the laboratory will then finally be applied on an industrial scale.

All products comply with the Royal Decree 140/2003 of 7 February, by which health criteria for the quality of water intended for human consumption are established.
