Besides budget and deadline control, quality control in buildings is one of the most important objectives of MP construction. MP Construction Area has been working for years to guarantee the quality of the buildings developed in each project, always in compliance with current regulations and the guidelines of sound building.

In 1999, the Construction Regulation underlined that “Considering the increasing demand for quality on the part of society, the Law states the essential requirements to be fulfilled by a building”.

The 2006 Construction Technical Code (CTE) follows the same legislative framework.  It states the Safety and Habitability requirements for buildings, and also for installations. The CTE legislates on a wide range of aspects, from structural safety, utilization and fire protection to those factors that determine habitability and affect the comfort of a building, i.e. noise protection, health conditions and energy saving.

At MP Construction Area, quality in building is guaranteed on two levels: on one level, by internal regulations and, on the other by an intense control held over the works by the company itself.

MP complies with the official procedures laid down regarding Production Policies and Procedures Manual, Environment and Work Risk-Prevention, Technical Instructions, Purchase Journal and Flowchart, Tenders, Implementation Processes and Installations.

Concerning implementation, MP takes charge of the receipt of the materials, certification of suppliers, product documentation, quality control, i.e. CE label or control tests in the laboratory. During the building process, control entities carry out verifications; the subcontracted companies are approved and registered; Program Inspection Points (PIP), and technical controllers’ inspections are executed; the staff is carefully selected and provided with regular training. As added value, MP offers to clients its own Installation Department. Once the building has been finished, tests and controls are carried out, equipment and maintenance manuals of the Building Log Book are provided, checked and guaranteed.

MP Construction Area is focused on the control and improvement of all aspects related to the quality of executed works. Actually, this is a crucial objective- not a mere legislative obligation. It also promotes the winning over of a client sure to be satisfied with the results provided. This competitive advantage is absolutely necessary within a market where supply is much higher than demand, a market in which the competition for any given contract has increased enormously.
