Last December, MP Sistemas signed an agreement with the Department of Innovation, Science and Enterprise, undertaking the sponsorship of the “Andalusia Digital Commitment”. This project, promoted by the Government of Andalusia, gives the opportunity to every individual, group or entity to improve their quality of life through the use of new technologies. The project goes from basic digital literacy, for those who don’t have any technological competency, to advanced levels

This initiative belongs to the wider concept of Global Knowledge and Information Society, since it reaches the whole of society and every Andalusian citizen: the individual, a social group, a specific entity. It works as a multichannel tool, in terms of technology and functionality. It is not a mere matter of computers and Internet; it’s a matter of useful, mature and safe technologies applied to each action and activity, i.e. SMS, TDT, a digital camera, a simple e-mail, a Web page.

The Digital Sponsor is a strategic element of this project. This is how MP Sistemas became a committed supporter, by means of its active and long-term participation in work aimed at achieving the objectives promoted by this initiative. The result is the creation of work synergies aimed at boosting the company’s strengths, as well as the development of a specific social framework allowing for digital inclusion.

The project aims to reduce the so-called digital divide. Which means creating synergies and providing enterprises with a specific social framework for digital inclusion.

The sponsorship exists mostly also voluntary corporate work: the company’s workers devote, within their working hours, a minimum of two hours per month to training for Digital Andalusia. Thus allowing for the channelling and mobilization of talent, time and the energies of those who spontaneously want to work for the development of the communities where MP Sistemas acts.

Furthermore, by this agreement the Sevillian company, besides contributing to the financing of specific events held under the project frame, undertook a wide number of sponsoring activities, i.e. promoting the spirit of solidarity among its workers, stating non-discrimination as the project’s identity, encouraging social inclusion, accessibility for everyone, respect for the environment and sustainable  development.
