This project consisted of the upgrading of the VEGA DEL REY shopping centre's IP video surveillance system, an upgrade which included a complete overhaul of the system's cabling.

In particular, the UTP cabling of all the outdoor GOLMAR cameras was replaced by UTP CAT6 cabling, measuring approximately 4,500 metres long in total and fitted with humidity-resistant polyethylene covering, connecting arrangement and operational diagnostics.

The video cable connections were installed through a specific patch panel fitted with a rack cabinet specially created for such connections.

One of the bonuses of the project has been the creation of a communication system by means of ADSL provided by Cisco technology, allowing for reliable external connectivity capable of displaying and running the system off site.

IP video surveillance combined with an ADSL connection represents outstanding added value for the client in terms of security for its outlets.
